Over the past year, many businesses have embraced the unpredictability of COVID-19 and successfully turned uncertainty to their advantage. The phrase ‘survival of the fittest’ comes to mind when you look at how many have navigated through these unprecedented times.
We don’t often do this but for once, we’re going to toot our own horn! Since the start of lockdown in March 2020, we doubled our client base and boosted our workforce with three new appointments over the past six months. The expansion of our team is due to a high demand for our award-winning services. Franchisors and franchisees alike recognising now, more than ever, the value of PR and how they can use it to get ahead of their competitors as lockdown eases.
Our most recent appointment is Georgina ‘George’ Watkins as Communications Manager. Joining as a senior member of the team, she brings a wealth of strategic knowledge and over 20 years of hands-on experience in the world of PR. Formerly at franchisor Neighbourly, George spent the last three years promoting multiple home service brands and their network of over 150 franchisees across the UK. Previous PR positions have included Reuters, global PR agency Ketchum and TrustMark, a government scheme for tradespeople.
“I’m delighted to join the team at Rev PR and to play a key role in helping our clients return to growth and profitability now that lockdown measures are beginning to ease,” said George. “It’s hugely important right now for franchisors to be focused on building trust and credibility for their brands rather than just trying to push sales messages, given what most have been through. The future is really exciting – not only being back in agency but working across so many leading franchise brands.”
“The expanding team highlights our ongoing commitment to our franchise clients by only employing experts who focus exclusively on PR and, crucially, understand the franchise industry. We’re thrilled to have Georgina join us and welcome her into our growing team,” said co-founder, Sally Anne Butters.
“We’re in a really strong position and are proud to have supported our clients with growth throughout the COVID-19 storm, as well as maximised our own business expansion. We feel Georgina coming on board is testament to our success and we’re now looking forward to another prosperous year ahead for ourselves and our clients,” added co-founder, Lucy Archer.
George wasted no time at all getting stuck in and is already well and truly part of the team – big and ‘tiny’!
